About this workshop
Child labour remains a significant global challenge, and organisations are increasingly expected by regulators, investors, and consumers to take effective action. This workshop series provides participants with a clear understanding of what constitutes child labour, how it differs from acceptable forms of children's work, and the applicable international standards. Through practical exercises and peer-sharing discussions, participants will learn how to strengthen their organisation's due diligence processes to identify and assess child labour risks. They will also discover how to implement effective child-centred remediation measures, engage responsibly with suppliers, and monitor and evaluate the impact of their organisational actions. By the end of the series, participants will be able to translate their learning into concrete steps that are relevant to their roles.

Testimonials
‘The STOP Child Labour course has profoundly impacted both my professional capabilities and my understanding of this critical issue. As a representative addressing social issues within the tobacco regulatory sector, it is essential to be well-informed, and this course has equipped me with precisely the knowledge and insights required.
I particularly appreciated several aspects of the course:
- Engaging Visuals: The high-quality videos, visuals, and pictures significantly enhanced my comprehension of the course material.
- Informative Reading Materials: The reading materials were comprehensive yet accessible, providing a solid foundation for understanding child labour issues and their importance, even for those new to the subject.
- Global Perspective: The diverse range of visuals, audios, pictures, and reading materials from around the world effectively illustrated the widespread nature of child labour.
Armed with this knowledge, I am confident in my ability to effectively raise awareness among farmers and other stakeholders in Zimbabwe. I can now provide them with crucial information on identifying, monitoring, and remediating child labour, ultimately contributing to a more ethical tobacco production industry.
I extend my sincere gratitude to ARDEA INTERNATIONAL for making this invaluable course available. I strongly encourage everyone to enrol and join the collective effort to eradicate child labour globally.’
