Colleen Theron

CEO, Ardea International

Colleen is a tri-qualified solicitor with over 25 years’ legal and commercial experience of working with businesses and NGOs across sectors at both a strategic and operational level. She provides training to both directors and employees on human rights, modern slavery and sustainability issues. Colleen has a LLM (with distinction) in Environmental Law from the University of Aberdeen. She is recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners as a leading environmental law practitioner. Colleen is a fellow of IEMA and a fellow at the Centre for the Study of Modern Slavery, St Mary’s University. Twickenham. She is also an independent legal consultant and consults with Re:Links.


Jessica Wan

Head of Human Rights/Social Research Lead at Redwheel

Jessica has over ten years of experience translating international norms and regulatory requirements on human rights due diligence into practical actions for businesses across roles in the United Nations, consulting, and research.

Currently, Jessica is the Head of Human Rights/Social Research Lead at Redwheel, a specialist independent investment organisation managing $17.9 billion globally. Jessica is responsible for leading the social research agenda providing internal independent human rights research and advisory services for fund managers throughout financial product lifecycles.

Before joining Redwheel, Jessica was a Manager at EY in London, where she co-developed their global methodology on ESG due diligence for private equity clients. For five years, Jessica was a gender specialist at the International Labour Organisation in Geneva and Bangkok (Better Work). As an Associate at BSR in Hong Kong, Jessica spent most of her time travelling across Asia working with buyers and their suppliers to strengthen human rights due diligence systems.


Richard Gardiner

Head of EU Public Policy at WBA

Richard Gardiner is WBA’s Head of EU Public Policy where he supports the WBA goal’s by tracking and monitoring the relevant policy developments with regard to sustainability matters in the EU. In particular he looks at legislation on corporate accountability and furthering corporate transparency. With more than a decade’s worth of expertise in international relations, policy analysis, and political science, Richard works with WBA to promote corporate responsibility and sustainability through government policy. He has previously worked for European stock exchanges where he focused on market transparency and integrity. He also led the work at the NGO Global Witness’ campaign for binding rules on supply chain due diligence for multinational enterprise


Becky Milon

Responsible Business Lead, Fairtrade Foundation

Becky Milon is a Responsible Business Lead at the Fairtrade Foundation overseeing the foundation’s UK retail partnerships with the aim to make trade systems fair for farmers and workers around the globe. Prior to joining Fairtrade Foundation, Becky was the Head of Consulting at STOP THE TRAFFIK, a modern slavery prevention not-for-profit, and a former Strategic Innovations Consultant at Deloitte in the United States. She holds a MSc in International Development Management from the London School of Economics.
