Webinar: Modern Slavery and Forced Labour:  Proposed Penalties and New Guidelines – Implications for Australian Companies

About this webinar

On 16 July, the Australian Government announced that it will introduce a new criminal offence applying to companies with annual consolidated revenue over AUD $100 million that fail to prevent modern slavery in their supply chains, and civil penalties and enforcement powers to address non-compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth). Australian companies whose products are sold in the EU will also need to comply with the European Union Forced Labour Regulation (EUFLR) from 14 December 2027. This Ardea International webinar, featuring speakers from the United Nations (UN), the Australian Human Rights Institute, and Walk Free, will explore the implications for Australian companies of the proposed penalties and the EUFLR.
